“I happened across Bruce's obituary and wanted to send my condolences. Debbie, my maiden name was Janssen. I don't know if you remember me, but I remember when Bruce & Dorothy lived in Wall Lake. One day when I was young someone's nose plugs got hung up on wiring over their yard. We tried everything to reach and still was not quite there. Someone had the idea of raising the chair or ladder with the lawn mower. Of course I forgot that was was one of Bruce's pride and joys. No sooner did I jump to reach the plugs when he moved the mower to put it away. Lol

I know he felt bad about me falling, but it 'needed' to be put away! Just a memory I had.

I'm glad he got to spend his last years with you & your family. He was a nice man!”

“I was sadden by the loss of a very special person. I remember Bruce from the Howard Center in Sac City back in 1972. I was priveleged to work with him for only a short time. But I do remember he loved to pull my chair back for me before I sat at the table to work with him everyday. As difficult as it was for him to do that, it was something he took pride in doing. You have lost a special person and I want to send you this fond memory of him.”
